Two nice looking cards tonight from down under with racing from Kilmore and Muswellbrook. Both are provincial class tracks.Horses coming from metropolitan tracks are class droppers so they will be heavily bet. Don't forget those drawn inside carry a lot more weight!

A couple nice jumps fixtures this week too! Of course they aren't really doing much jumping thanks to the greenies! Friday night, Saturday there, is the big ANZAC Day card from Flemington. It will be huge! Roughly on par with Preakness Day or a Saturday at Saratoga.

I have tried to handicap Australian horses, two things that make me mad. #1 Favorites seldom win, and #2 they make the race final so fast after they hit the line haha #annoying

Okay George here's some capping tips for Australian racing. First all racing is classified by the type of track the race is run at. (M) for Metropolitan include tracks like Flemington, Sandown, Wangratta et all. (P) for provincial including Sunshine Coast,Townsville, Wagga Wagga et al and (C) for country including tracks like Stony Creek, Mudgee, and many others. A horse going from M to P is taking a class drop similar to taking a horse from Belmont to PARC or Monmouth. Going from C to P would be equivilant to going from Mountaineer to Laurel. In the PPs next to the track name in the running line you will find this. The reason favorites rarely win is twofold. For one favorites carry more weight as all races are run as a handicap. Pay attention to the weights. The 1 horse carries top weight, the outside horses the least. Secondly the favorite in the US/Canada pool if often not the on track favorite. Pay attention to the track feed, they always run through the on track odds, you may very well be surprised. No matter the distance look for closes, even at 5f speed rarely holds as horses there are trained and bred to close. If anyone had any questions feel free to fire away!

Soooo I tested out my luck last night. I did notice the weight of the horses (very useful btw) so it was easier to realize why they were breaking from certain posts. However still 9/1 and 13/1 shots won in the two races and i got discouraged..ugh so hard

I bet on track they weren't nearly that big of a price. I'll let you in on a big secret. Try listening to 6TAB radio. Its available through different apps, I think it will help immensely. Next time your betting Australia let me know and I'll be around and we can 'cap together.
